Former Miss Hawaii USA Samantha Neyland Trumbo Joins Central Florida’s Hi-Lite Coaching + Consulting as Teen Coach and Ambassador

From the national stage to teens across the country: a trailblazer joins Hi-Lite

WINTER GARDEN, FL, AUGUST 1, 2026 – Hi-Lite Coaching + Consulting has named Samantha Neyland Trumbo, former Miss Hawaii USA and a nationally recognized youth-empowerment advocate, as a teen and young adults life coach and brand ambassador.

Neyland Trumbo was the first African American woman crowned Miss Hawaii USA and finished Top 10 at Miss USA 2020. She founded Time to Talk Hawaii to help teens build confidence and communication skills, leads mindset coaching through her SOAR Mindset platform, and helped launch Hawaii’s first youth commission. In her new role she will coach teens and young adults through Hi-Lite programs such as EmpowHer and The Work and serve as an ambassador for the Hi-Lite mission.

Her first major local appearance comes September 14, 2026, when she keynotes for the Workforce Expo at Ocoee High School, a career-exploration event co-hosted by Legacy Events for Education and Eight Waves that will reach roughly 600 students. Her message: every path forward is valid, whether college, a trade, a business, or a first job.
