Terms + Conditions
1. What You Are Registering For
Group Programs:Hi-Lite Coaching and Consulting group programs (EmpowHer, Brain Flex Teens, and The Work) are ten-week coaching programs for students in grades 6 through 12. Each program includes ten weekly group sessions of approximately 90 minutes, all program materials including a student workbook, and snacks and drinks at in-person sessions.
Groups are capped between 10-25 students and require a minimum of 4 students to run.
Private Programs: Our private programs are help on location as the client and coach agree. At times this is a private residence, a public diner or coffee shop or on campus at school. Private programs run 6-14 sessions and can continue into monthly membership levels if desired. Sessions are typically once weekly for 60 minutes, but can be altered depending on the needs of the client and family.
Workshops: Covering a variety of topics, held at various locations, workshops are designed to help build skills in teens and young adults. Workshops can vary from 60 to 180 minutes.
2. Coaching Is Not Therapy or Medical Treatment
This is important, and we want you to be clear on it before you enroll.
Hi-Lite provides life and executive function coaching. Coaching is a forward-focused, skills-based process. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatric care, medical treatment, or crisis intervention, and it is not a substitute for any of those.
Our coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, learning disabilities, or medical conditions. If your student is receiving mental health or medical care, coaching may complement that care but does not replace it, and we encourage you to tell your student's provider they are enrolling.
If we become concerned that a student needs care beyond the scope of coaching, we will tell you directly and, where appropriate, recommend that you seek professional support.
3. Payment
Full payment is due at registration. Your seat is reserved when payment is received.
Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Hi-Lite does not store your card information. Payment plans can be available as needed, processing fees may apply.
4. Refunds and Cancellations

5. Attendance
All of our programs work through consistency. Skills build over weeks, groups and client/coach building trust through repetition.
We ask families to commit to all sessions before enrolling. Group missed sessions are not made up individually, prorated, or refunded. For private program session attendance policy please refer to your contract.
If a student misses three or more sessions, we may contact you to discuss whether continuing in the current session is the right fit.
6. Program Changes
Hi-Lite may need to change a session date, time, coach, or location due to weather, illness, facility availability, or other circumstances. We will notify you by email and text as far in advance as possible.
If a session must be canceled, we will reschedule it or extend the program by one week.
7. Location, Arrival, and Pickup
Some in-person groups meet in public settings.
Parents and guardians are responsible for transportation to and from sessions. Students must be picked up promptly at the session end time. Hi-Lite coaches supervise students during session times only. We do not supervise students before or after the scheduled session window. Virtual groups meets by video conference. Parents are responsible for ensuring the student has a working device, internet connection, and a private space for sessions.
8. Health, Allergies, and Emergencies
You must disclose any allergies, medical conditions, or safety information relevant to your student's participation on the registration form, and update us if anything changes. Snacks and drinks are provided at in-person group sessions. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Families with severe allergies should contact us before registering. In a medical emergency, we will call 911 and then contact you using the emergency contact information you provided. You are responsible for any resulting medical costs.
9. Student Conduct
Our groups depend on students feeling safe enough to be honest. That requires standards. We expect students to treat every member of the group with respect, keep what other students share inside the group, and participate in good faith.
Behavior that makes the group unsafe, including bullying, harassment, threats, physical aggression, or repeated disruption, may result in a conversation with you, a suspension from sessions, or removal from the program. If a student is removed for conduct, refunds are at Hi-Lite's discretion. We will always try to work with you and your student before it reaches that point.
10. Confidentiality and Its Limits
What students share in group stays in group. Our coaches hold this seriously, and we ask the same of every student.
There are limits, and you should know them before enrolling. Our coaches will break confidentiality when they believe there is a risk of harm to a student or another person, or when required by law. Under Florida law, we are required to report suspected child abuse, abandonment, or neglect. If we have a concern about your student's safety, we will contact you directly, except in circumstances where doing so would put the student at greater risk. We may share general observations about your student's progress with you. We do not share the specific content of what other students say in group.
11. Photo and Video
Your photo and video permission response on the registration form governs how your student may appear in Hi-Lite materials. You may change this at any time by emailing success@hilitecoaching.com.
Students are never identified by full name in public materials.
If you decline permission, we will make reasonable efforts to exclude your student from photographs and recordings. Because in-person sessions sometimes take place at a public location, we cannot guarantee your student will not appear in photos or video taken by third parties outside our control.
12. Communications Consent
By registering, you agree to receive emails and text messages from Hi-Lite about your student's program, including welcome information, session reminders, schedule changes, and program updates. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message. Note that opting out may mean you miss time-sensitive information about your student's sessions.
13. Privacy
We collect the information you provide at registration to run the program, communicate with you, and keep your student safe. We do not sell your information or your student's information.
14. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability
Participation in Hi-Lite programs is voluntary. Coaching outcomes vary by individual, and Hi-Lite makes no guarantee of specific results. To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, Hi-Lite Coaching and Consulting, its coaches, and its employees are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from participation. Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the program.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
