She's been a teacher and a preschool director, and she's also taught 3rd-8th graders in a forest-based program in Wisconsin, building hands-on, get-your-boots-muddy curriculum through Nature's Classroom. Wherever she's worked, the move is the same: meet you exactly where you are.
Things really clicked when she became a Homeschooling Consultant in New York City, partnering with families to design custom learning plans that line a kid's passions up with their long-game goals - part curriculum architect, part trusted mentor. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Barnard College and a Master's in Education from Hunter College.
But maybe her most telling credential? She's the mom of a 17-year-old entrepreneur who left school at 15 to build a life he loves - and made it work.
