Jean Legere is a Student-Athlete Life Coach dedicated to educating, coaching, and empowering athletes to reach their full potential in and out of the pool. A graduate of West Orange High School (1993–1997), Jean excelled as both a swimmer and a water polo player before continuing a successful water polo career at the University of Florida from 1997–2003.

After his collegiate career, Jean served as the Swim and Water Polo Coach at West Orange High School from 2004–2010 and was appointed Head Men’s Coach at the University of Florida in 2006—the same year he was named SCC Coach of the Year.

Drawing on his extensive background in competitive swimming, water polo, and coaching, Jean guides student-athletes through goal setting, time management, and mental conditioning strategies that foster both performance and well-being. His approach centers on educating, coaching, and empowering student-athletes to achieve their goals—in the water, in the classroom, and in life.

By focusing on mindset, routines, and accountability, Jean helps athletes gain confidence, improve focus, and achieve sustainable results in sport and beyond. With firsthand experience balancing academics, athletics, and personal growth, he understands the challenges student-athletes face and the mindset required to excel.

Through a coaching philosophy built on hard work, dedication, and sacrifice, Jean helps athletes develop discipline, resilience, and the confidence to achieve their goals. Passionate about building leaders, he equips athletes with the tools to thrive in competition, in the classroom, and in life beyond sports.
